The Company

FIRMBASE PTE LTD, a Singapore company, was established in 2011 with the Mission to explore development opportunities in advanced materials to meet the growing needs on water, energy, and infrastructure.

Prior to setting up Firmbase,  the Founder Mr CT Pung had spent over 20 years with a US specialty chemical company and had held senior Asia Pacific regional business and management positions. With a passion for Sustainability and in leveraging his years of  experiences and vast business network, Firmbase uses a Collaboration Business Model to carry out its Mission to seek and develop technology and business opportunities.

A success example of the Collaborative Business Model is the development of a Hydrophilic Polymeric Membrane Technology by Firmbase via a business network.

PVDF Ultrafiltration (UF) membranes are the most widely used of the Polymeric membranes in water and wastewater treatment due to their excellent chemical and mechanical stability, and compactness but with major shortcoming of rapid flux decline and frequent back-flushing requirements which will shorten the life span of the membranes. FIRMBASE developed a proprietary polymer based PVDF UF membrane with improved anti-fouling and >25% lower operating pressure, thus reducing operating energy costs. Below  table shows the complex coordinated business model, which involves multiple collaborators from basic technology acquisition, co-technology development, to strategic commercialisation.

Aside from continuing to advance its membrane technologies and deployment, Firmbase continues to seek and develop technologies and products in the Green Industry.
