Distributorship of De.mem Membranes 2025

In January 2025, Firmbase was appointed by its strategic partner De.mem Pte Ltd as a distributor of their membrane systems. These state-of-the-art membrane systems are specifically designed and built for 1) residential and municipal applications with NSF certification requirements; and 2) to meet demanding anti-fouling industrial waste water treatment requirements.
De.mem Pte Ltd is an Australian headquartered company , with international water and waste water treatment business.
Biodegradable Plastics Compound Venture 2024

In November 2024, Firmbase and its strategic partner venture into Biodegradable Plastics compounds development with the goal to deliver quality and cost-competitive Biodegradable Plastics products to the end-users.
First Commercial Membranes 2024


In 2024, Firmbase has its first commercial success with the Super Hydrophilic Membrane Technology in industrial waste water treatment that contains high oil content. The membrane incorporated with Firmbase’s Super Hydrophilic Polymer was able to operate with enhanced anti-fouling, keeping the membrane in operation for a longer period.
Bioplastics Modifier Commercial Success 2023

In 2023, Firmbase and its partner have its first commercial success with its Biodegradable Plastics Modifier that enhance the rigidity and impact strength for bioplastics cutlery application.
SIWW 2022

In Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) 2022, Firmbase and its strategic partners showcased its Super Hydrophilic Polymer (SHP) and its Super Hydrophilic Membrane Technology. SHP drew much interest from membrane producers looking for hydrophilic additives that have better anti-fouling and non-leaching capabilities.
Membrane Scale-up 2021

In September 2021, Firmbase with its strategic partner Environmental and Water Technology Centre of Innovation (EWTCOI*), successfully scaled up its Super Hydrophilic Membrane Technology for PVDF Hollow Fibre Ultrafiltration Membrane. It demonstrated that Firmbase’s Super Hydrophilic Polymer (SHP) could be incorporated into existing membrane matrix at industrial scale and enhanced the membrane’s anti-fouling performance.
*Environmental and Water Technology Centre of Innovation is now named Centre for Environmental Sustainability (CfES), a Singapore Government hub for driving industry partnership in developing green solutions and fostering talent development for a sustainable future.
SWA Forum 2020

In August 2020, Firmbase shared its super hydrophilic membrane technology development journey at the SWA-EWTCOI forum. In the presentation, Firmbase shared its learning and experience in collaborating with third parties on technology development.
SG MEM 2019

In January 2019, Firmbase became one of the first Industry Member to the Singapore Membrane Consortium, SG MEM, a platform to showcase Singapore’s unique ecosystem for membrane technology, and to leverage the same towards developing mutually beneficial collaborations with industrial partners.
